1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO is similar to its sibling i3 EVO. They differ only in that the i3+ comes with self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is an excellent option for those who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience, but are willing to manually empty the dust bin after it has filled up.
Both robots are adept at removing surface dirt on floors and carpets and can maneuver around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart maps of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean up efficiently. The i3+ does not have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. It could be stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces, like hardwood and rug.
iRobot suggests that you clear areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including getting rid of any toys or clutter it may come across. robotic vacuum cleaner should also keep the dustbin and filters clear to avoid getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO’s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically takes the dirt out of the docking station's external dustbin. 2. IRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line and is packed with the latest features. It is self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most significant feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for regular maintenance.
The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can control your robot via the app or by voice.
The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin which eliminates a major source of maintenance and lowers the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot to start or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward through the iRobot Home app. Once connected, we were able to communicate with the i7+ using voice commands such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and evaluating the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of vacuums with cords that feel like minivans and buses. It's got the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for many households and can fit in well next to the table for a coffee or the bookshelf, that you can spin around like a magic wand.
The V10 is powered by a 7-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system captures allergens and expels cleaner air back into your home. Its specialized head uses stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpets and collect large dust or crumbs. It has three different suction modes that can be adapted to suit the task. It is able to quickly change from handheld to floor vacuum, and vice versa.

The V10's biggest drawback is its sluggish run time. As CR's tests have shown, its marketing claims of up to 60 minutes are misleading. It's capable of sucking up most types of debris and sizes during our tests, and often passes over the same areas multiple times to give a thorough clean. Its flat front side helps it to reach into corners and along the walls' edges which is a nice feature.
Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt technology to steer clear of obstacles and help you navigate your home. However, it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more advanced models, like our top picks, the i3+EVO and J7+ Series. Because of this, it can sometimes get stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't as sturdy, and frequently will run out of battery before making it back to its base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in most respects in that it has fewer parts that need regular cleaning, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba. It also has physical boundaries strips that can be controlled using your smartphone's voice assistance. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and can perform better on low-pile and bare floors.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
Samsung is a name is seen on a variety of home electronics, so it comes as no surprise that they're also one of the most popular mop and robot vacuum manufacturers. Jet Bot AI+ has the most advanced onboard technology to navigate and avoid obstacles.
The app offers a wide range of customization options for your robotic cleaner. These include mopping levels, virtual barriers and behavior adjustments docking frequency settings, and many more. The app is simple to navigate and use similar to other Samsung devices.
In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). However, it did not do particularly well at avoiding taller objects like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's priced higher than other models that we tested, and this could be a problem for some shoppers.

The app also makes it simple to manually steer the robot should you need to. For example, my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that has a tendency to make it difficult for other robots I've tested.
