The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to recognize objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you photos of an object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't vacuum areas you do not want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
The design is also superior to the competition. It has a sleek, high-end piece that looks like an toy, not a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to collect small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a little grit. Most robots can't accomplish this feat. It did this without getting tangled in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as efficient as the Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who require both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to tell whether the update actually working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the best option. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also have many additional features like smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. robot floor cleaner is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the expensive features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a problem where cheaper robot vacuums often fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is superb, with only a few mishaps along walls and in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and alter your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful when setting up schedules and altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for most people, but it's one that can assist you in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market however it's quite expensive.
It's a tiny base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions and chores that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovac that I've tried that does a good job picking up the dust from floors with no. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain areas of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and doesn't come with a dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a robot vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking to save money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of alternatives available which include a variety of eufy models for considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper however it comes with many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, that provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike a good balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning power for carpets and hard flooring, and mopping functions at an affordable price. It's easy to set it up, just connect one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It is sleek with a black finish with three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and where it can't access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it left off.
The sleek G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It has a larger dust bin that does not require more emptying. It also has border strips that block it from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand is more affordable and a lot simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating heavy materials such as cereal.
